Friends of Captain Awkward meetup – Perth, Australia

This month we are having a Sunday meetup for a change.

When: 
Sunday 28th July, 2.30pm

Where:
Dome Cafe Cockburn

Details:
BYO craft or colouring in activity, and/or just come along to have a coffee and chat with other fans of this blog. 

How to find us:
I will get there 5 – 10 mins early and find a table in the downstairs section. I have dark brown hair and I’ll have a sign on the table that says FOCA.

Hiya peeps! The end of June draws near, and with it, the monthly FOCA meetup!

When: Sunday, June 23rd, 2019, 10 am

Where: Harvard Art Museum Cafe

32 Quincy Street, Cambridge, MA 02138

The closest T stop is Harvard, on the red line. The museum is about a ten-minute walk across the Harvard yard from the station.

Venue: The cafe is located in the atrium of the art museum. You do not have to pay the entrance fee to sit in the cafe area. The cafe has a small selection of pastries and other snacks, but if you have specific dietary requirements you may need to bring your own food. The building is accessible via a ramp on Prescott Street.

How to find us: I will claim a table and set up a paper sign. I will have my mending and/or a painting project. I have coloring sheets, but you can also bring coloring sheets! Or sketchbooks!

What to bring: Crayons, colored pencils, paints, coloring books, a puzzle, discourse on the hybrization of trees.

Hello, your host Sylvie has arranged a meetup in Cardiff! Details:

What: Captain Awkward Cardiff (Wales) Meetup

When: This Saturday 18th May, from 2pm

Where: Chapter Arts Centre Cafe, Market Rd, Canton, Cardiff, CF5 1QE

Buses stop on Cowbridge rd or Llandaff rd (you can check here: http://www.traveline.cymru/ or contact me below) and it’s 1.5 miles from the central station.

Venue: The arts centre’s cafe is free to enter and has flat access and automatic doors. There are toilets, places to sit, and if you want to buy something they have a range of drinks, snacks and meals including gluten free/veggie/vegan options (https://www.chapter.org/).

What to bring: Feel free to bring crafts, games, puzzles, books to swap, or just yourself. Look for the table with paper and pens in the middle. I’ll be wearing glasses and gold hoop earrings.

Hello NYC Awkwardeers!

What: Captain Awkward NYC meetup

When: Saturday, May 18th, 2019, 3pm onward

Where: Think Coffee, 123 4th Avenue, Manhattan

Feel free to bring games, board games, crafts, or just your wonderful self 🙂

We’ll meet at Think Coffee at 123 4th Avenue on Saturday, May 18th starting at 3pm. It is right by the 14th Street – Union Square Station on the 4, 5, 6, L, N, Q, W or R trains. The platforms for the L, N, Q, W, and R trains at this station are wheelchair accessible. The platform for the 4, 5, and 6 trains at this station is NOT wheelchair accessible. Think Coffee is on street level with an accessible bathroom.  They serve coffee, tea, soups, sandwiches and baked goods.  They have vegan options.
