From your hostess, Chris:
Dear all,
We’re having a meet-up in Manchester, U.K.! It’s on Saturday the 25th of November, from 12 noon until 2pm. It’ll be at Ziferblat, a cafe where you pay 8p per minute to be there, but can help yourself to food and drink which is all included in the cost. It’s not on the ground floor, but there’s a lift so it should be accessible. Entry is via a buzzer. The address is: 1st floor, 23 Edge Street, M4 1HW, Manchester.
I’ll bring a couple of short 2-player table-top games, please feel free to bring some too, or even just bring your craft projects if you want relaxed chatting while you work on them. I’ll try to bring a plush toy hedgehog so you can find me. The hedgehog is brown and hand sized. I am a mid-20s white woman with short hair (pixie cut length) and will be wearing big plastic glittery earrings that are shaped like lightning bolts, so hopefully you’ll be able to find me okay!
I’ll make a Friends of Captain Awkward forum thread about this, but probably the best way to keep up is to add yourself to the ‘Manchester Friends of Captain Awkward’ Facebook group. This meet-up has an event that you can add yourself to for updates. You can message me as I’m the group admin. And if you are a group member you’ll get updates on future events.
Hope to see some of you there!
Thanks for putting this together, Chris. Enjoy the day!
I’ll try to make it depending on work! Will bring my dragon toy so I’m recognizable and my patch jacket to sew 🙂
I’ll try to join you – I’ll be knitting a Christmas jumper.
Hi all, I’m running about 20 minutes behind because the train I’m on from Sheffield is rubbish. So if you arrive and can’t find me straight away that might be why!
PS I am Chris who is hosting, forgot to mention
