I volunteered to organise the second York (UK) meet up. It is now going to happen on Saturday the 15th of February for post-Valentines complaining about how most of January and February get consumed by Enforced Romance. And anything else people want to talk about.The meet up will be in a cafe-bar called The Habit which is on Goodramgate, a street behind the York Minster. If needed, I can arrange to meet people earlier at the Minster and then take them to The Habit. The start time of the event is tentatively 2pm so people can choose to have a late lunch or to get lunch somewhere else first.
Drinks available range from teas and coffees through to soft drinks, juices and also various alcoholic drinks. Food is various hot and cold sandwiches, toasties, paninis, jacket potatoes and things like toast, crumpets and tea cakes. Not likely to be much that’s vegan, unfortunately but vegetarians should feel catered for.
There’s seating downstairs which can be accessed without steps so that’s where we’ll be.
The Habit is very explicitly child-friendly.I’ll bring a teddy bear so you can see who to sit with. Feel free to bring one of your own!
