Twin Cities Meetup 9/8

There is awkwardness afoot in the Twin Cities. From the commenter known as Personal Space Invader:

Right now this is all sort of tentative, but the meetup will be at Spyhouse Coffee, at their Whittier location. I’m setting the date for September 8th at 6:00 to 9:00ish pm. If that’s too late for everyone, I’m open to changing venues. I’m still very new to the area though, so I’m not totally aware of what’s around.

Assuming nothing changes with timing and/or location, the address is:

It is at the intersection of 25th and Nicollet. There are baked goods there, some of which should be vegan and/or gluten free. There is parking on the street, but be prepared to look around for a bit. According to Google, there is a bus stop (Nicollet S and 25th St. W) across the street for the 18 route, and several stops serving the 11 and 17 within 3 blocks. I will have a sign at the table and will probably be towards the front. Feel free to bring coloring books or other fun stuff to do!

  1. Thanks for posting this here. Just an FYI for anyone interested, I’m going to be doing a lot of traveling over Labor Day weekend. I will have internet, but if I don’t get back to you immediately, that’s what’s going on. I should be back by Monday at latest.

  5. Argh, I really wish I could come! Unforturnately I’m working at the Renaissance festival all weekend and won’t be home until late on Sunday, at which point I won’t be fit for anything but a shower and sleep.

  9. UPDATE: The event tonight was a raging success, thanks everyone for coming out! There WILL be events in the Twin Cities in the near future. We are currently setting up a private Google group to plan and discuss upcoming events, so if you are interested in coming to future events and haven’t emailed me to RSVP, please send me an email and I will add you to the Google group! Thanks.
