Hello Awkwardeers of Western North Carolina! Please join me for an Awkward Army Meetup on Tuesday, April 30, at the French Broad Chocolate Lounge in Asheville, NC. Delicious chocolate desserts and drinks are available and reasonably priced at this all-ages location. The first floor is fully accessible, there are gender-neutral bathrooms, and it’s right in downtown Asheville. I will be there from 7-9pm (or later if there is fun happening). Oh what a lovely place to meet! I went there once in 2008 and drank the best hot chocolate I have ever had in my life.

Oh, jealous! I’m in Chapel Hill and have work both that day and the next morning, so I can’t make it without a transporter. But Jedi hugs to everyone who shows up, and I hope it’s a good time!

I must see if I can make this. I live just across the mountains in Jonesborough, TN after all. If I can…will it be okay to smuggle some of my homemade mead into the gathering?
The Chocolate Lounge sells beer & wine, so it’s not a BYOB sort of place, but I’m certainly not going to be going around sniffing people’s water bottles or patting them down for hip flasks.
